The Investment Manager Research (IMR) team oversees the investment managers of Canada Life’s mutual and segregated funds. They monitor, evaluate and rate the funds and their investment managers. This helps to ensure the investment managers and funds on our platform are relevant and competitive, so you can feel confident you’re providing the right investment solutions to your clients.
On April 20, 2023, Mackenzie Investments announced that Kalle Huhdanmäki, Vice‐President and Portfolio Manager with Mackenzie Investments Europe Ltd., has decided to leave the firm effective April 21, 2023. Bryan Mattei, Vice‐President and Portfolio Manager, will take over portfolio management responsibilities for the European part of the portfolio. Bryan has experience with European and Asian equities dating back to 2007.
The portfolio management team and analysts who have been responsible for the mandates listed below are still in place. The IMR Team will continue to meet with the team to understand the implications of this change and monitor the transition.
The funds’ benchmark, fees, investment objective and style remain unchanged and no action is required.
