The investment manager research (IMR) team oversees the fund managers of Canada Life’s mutual and segregated funds. They monitor, evaluate, and rate the funds and their managers. This helps to ensure the managers and funds on our platform are relevant and competitive so you can feel confident you are providing the right investment solutions to your clients.
AGF Investments Inc. (AGF) is the investment manager for two segregated funds on the Canada Life™ wealth shelf:
- American Growth Fund
- Canadian Small Cap Growth Fund (currently closed to new investors)
On Jan. 24, 2023, AGF announced that Auritro Kundu has been promoted to Co-Portfolio Manager of American Growth Fund. Auritro joins Tony Genua, Portfolio Manager in the role. They are responsible for assessing appropriate portfolio positioning and screening eligible stocks to identify purchase candidates. Tony and Auritro are supported by the AGF Equity Analyst team and additional investment team members, including Jonathan Lo, Vice-President of Growth Equities.
Auritro has focused on the technology sector since joining AGF in 2015. Prior to joining AGF, Auritro was an Equity Research Associate Analyst at National Bank. He has also worked as a Senior Analyst at Rogers Communications.
The portfolio management team and analysts who have been responsible for the mandates listed below are still in place. The IMR team will continue to meet with Tony and the team to understand the rationale for this change, and to monitor the transition.
The funds’ benchmarks, fees, investment objectives and styles remain unchanged and no action is required.
